The reason we might often feel so uncertain about what’s ahead is that it’s always uncertain.
Like the future is ALWAYS a mystery. 💯
We can make plans and strategies.
We can play with probabilities.
We can pretend we have an idea of what lay ahead – pop it in our calendar, our timeline so to speak.
We can also access guidance to light the path.
But ultimately, we discover WHAT IS and what will be with each step as we take it – and only as we take it.
Life is a constant process of stepping into and meeting the unknown, giving it meaning, and then letting it become a part of our knowledge.
It’s natural to search for certainty in the external world.
To desire a rock, assurance, something external to self that we can hold onto and trust.
But often that’s just fear, attachment, and identification leading the way.
The way I see it is we have two choices in the face of uncertainty, and thereby our Earth walk:
🌟 1. To choose fear, anxiety, and the need for control, Or
🌟 2. To choose courage, excitement, curiosity, and total surrender
The latter can be more challenging but that is where the real work and reward are.
This is why I believe it’s important to become friends with The Great Mystery of Life.
FULL Trust, as risky as it may seem, is the way forward.
Uncertainty is not to be feared, but rather REVERED.
It’s the creative principle through which we access an infinite field of possibilities.
A playful field of creativity that hears and responds to our words and our wishes but simply cannot weave its true magic unless we give it wiggle room to show us what’s actually possible…
When we LET GO.
Befriending the great mystery of life is equally an act of befriending ourselves, invoking our own un-limitation.
Because in our Highest Truth, each of us is enigmas – ineffable, beyond words and condition.
Embracing, embodying, and accepting this is truly stepping into our highest possible creation.
Befriending the mystery is befriending God, The Universe, Source, The Field – whatever you want to call it.
“I am a divine expression of an infinite consciousness, an infinite field of Abundance that’s always got my back AND it knows what I need!”
I’m beginning to learn that I’m more likely to have what I want if I can be okay with what I might get.
And as I do, I’m noticing myself asking for more of what I want and receiving it.
Back to “the fear” – it’s okay btw.
In fact, it’s very natural.
The funny thing is, that fear is less about the future than it is about the past.
The future is actually where we have the opportunity to experience something new and better.
We can feel the fear and lean into the excitement anyway – it’s always a choice.
I’ve become used to viewing my life like a good season of a gripping TV series.
OOHH the cliffhangers in life!
They fucking get me every time.
Every day I flinch!
But do we stop watching the show when it all becomes uncertain?
No! We binge straight into the next episode because the curiosity is too great to not follow.
And that’s the spirit!
Embracing the mystery, stepping into the mystery, feeling the fear and anxiety if necessary, and then choosing the excitement and the curiosity.
Then leaning into it with full trust, with full courage, with full faith and acceptance of the unknown…
So we may discover greater levels of creative potential.
AND in this process, we have everything to gain.
I also found that part of managing our relationship with uncertainty is not getting too ahead of ourselves.
The greatest level of certainty is always in the present moment – here and NOW.
When we focus on where we are now, and then the next step, and then the next one,
And hold an awareness of the feeling of the intention that we wish to experience,
WITH an openness to what might come,
We know we’re always heading in the right direction even if we don’t know what’s happening next.
Be ALL that you are.
