Here’s an excellent strategy for successfully experiencing great change in just about any area of your life with guaranteed results.
What Would You Like To Change?
One major problem that a lot of my Mastery Coaching™ clients come to me with is that they struggle to get traction to make major developmental shifts in various areas of their life.
One of the most common pieces of advice I find myself giving them is that you’re trying to focus on too much at one time. The secret to getting traction is to focus on one thing with intensity and discipline.
Let Me Ask You Two Important Questions
What’s the one area of your life that you would love to transform? The area that you would like to see the greatest results in?
And…
What’s one thing that you could do every single day that will assist you to develop and change that area?
These are two really important questions.
I’ll tell you how I’m applying this at the moment.
May Everyday
For the entire month of May, I’m calling it “May Everyday”. Every day in May I’m going to the gym.
For at least 9 months since my son was born, I’ve wanted to transform the health and fitness area of my life. One of the things about health and fitness is that it’s easy to maintain but sometimes it can be challenging to get to the level where you want to get to. I’m not at the level where I want to be, so I’ve committed to going to the gym for at least fifteen minutes a day for the next four weeks. Why? Because I know that’s the best way to get results and transform that area of my life.
Here are 3 easy steps you can take to transform any area of you life quickly and easily.
Step 1
The first step is you need to choose the area of your life that you really want to change.
What’s the one life area that’s been bothering you for a while? That you’ve been meaning to do something about and if you did, would improve your quality of life across the board?
Pick that, decide upon it, and focus on it.
Step 2
The second thing you need to do is decide upon a small action that you can take every day. It needs to be something small and achievable that you can do every day, that if you were to do that for 4 weeks would bring about the change that you’re looking for.
Step 3
The third thing you need to do is have discipline. Have discipline to follow through. Enroll others into the process. Tell others that you’re going to be doing it. Put your time aside every day to focus on that one thing, even if it’s just for five minutes to give it that focus it deserves for a matter of four weeks and you’ll see results very, very quickly.
