Where the hell did January go?
It just disappeared in the blink of an eye.
BOOM!
Just like that it’s February and the year is rolling on of it’s own accord either with or without you at the helm.
Does it feel a little like its getting away from you again?
Do you have that uncomfortable feeling that you haven’t even solidified your plans for the year and that…
Once again it could be all over before you know it?
The more you want to achieve, the more complex planning the year ahead can become. Often that results in not setting any goals at all, losing focus and letting the year become just another blur.
And what exactly do you want to achieve in the first place?
I want to help you focus on the only thing you need to nail this year so you can do more of what fulfils you every day…
WITHOUT having to make complex and elaborate plans.
Sometimes all it takes is the right kind of focus and the year can just fall into place.
It all depends really on what I refer to as your “currency of success”.
What’s your ‘Currency of Success’?
To begin explaining this I’d like to acknowledge that each of us have different ideas of what success really is.
Everybody has, what I call, a different currency of success and thereby different ideas of how to measure it.
I like to map these currencies to the human chakra system.
At the base level, we measure success by physical wealth. That’s money, material wealth and tangible belongings.
At the sacral level, we’ve got well-being. This can be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual well-being.
At the solar plexus, it’s about progress, power, performance, career and leadership.
At the heart level, it’s about relationships and contribution in the world. It’s how we connect with others and ourselves through the process of love. This includes family and community connection.
At the level of throat chakra, it’s about our expression, meaning and purpose.
At the level of our third eye the currency of success is around knowledge and wisdom. It’s also about time, making the most of it and having more to play with.
At the crown chakra what I see is fulfilment and joy, wholeness, completion.
If you’re into the whole idea of a higher chakra system (which I am) then it’s currency of success is not so much about what occurs while you’re alive. It’s more about what you leave behind. We’re talking legacy and higher, evolutionary purpose stuff.
The two currencies most people favour when setting goals are…
Physical wealth and how people are perceived physically for their well-being.
So we’re talking about base chakra desires and sacral chakra desires here.
People want to make more money. They want to have a better car. They want to have a better house. They want to take more holidays. They want to accumulate more and do more.
People want to feel good but more than anything in reference to well-being, most people want to look good. This also feeds into how they feel about themselves.
These two currencies are obviously quite tangible.
The next level currency that I find is really popular with people is…
A combination of the throat level and the crown level chakras.
You could view this as purpose, meaning and expression combined with fulfilment.
I’ve never had one Mastery Matrix Purpose Tribe client that hasn’t expressed the desire for true fulfilment.
Everybody wants it. Everybody is driven to have meaning and a certain sense of direction or purpose in life.
Often they don’t know it.
The lack of it manifests as self-doubt, fear of failure, procrastination, uncertainty, diminished drive, lack of commitment, boredom and the feeling that something is missing.
There is a gross misconception…
That if we have physical wealth, more “stuff” and more adoration from others for our physical appearance that we will then have greater fulfilment.
Like if we can satisfy our base and sacral chakra needs we will somehow fulfil the needs of our higher energy centres.
There’s a potential problem here.
When you anchor your fulfilment to the necessary presence of something physical in your life; when you anchor your fulfilment to what another person may think about you physically; you’re potentially setting yourself up for disappointment.
It’s not that these needs are invalid, it’s just that ALONE they aren’t reliable for achieving and maintaining fulfilment.
There is nothing wrong with having goals for physical wealth and physical appearance. I can assure you I have firm goals around these currencies also for 2018.
You just need to be aware that you can’t anchor your fulfilment to them.
Remember fulfilment is a state.
Fulfilment is something that you are entitled to experience whether you have material and physical wealth or not. For this reason it’s highly recommended that you aim at achieving this state regardless of what material possessions you may manage to manifest.
I’m a purpose coach so I prefer to look at things through this lens of purpose, so here’s my tip.
What I suggest is for the next year that you set as a currency of success for yourself to have a firm, impactful direction in life.
Focus on doing more of what’s important for you to DO.
Bring more awareness to living and feeling how you want to BE.
Spend more time discovering and utilising the greatest skills and traits you HAVE to offer the world.
Why?
Because when these elements come together they form an equation for discovering more fulfilment, more meaning and a greater sense of personal purpose.
I mentioned earlier the signs of not having fulfilment, meaning and purpose includes self-doubt, fear, inaction, demotivation and lack.
Put simply, these are lower vibrational states.
Experiencing them will only see you experience a lower vibrational match in your creation.
Abundant wealth, health and well-being do not resonate with self-doubt, fear, lack and uncertainty.
When you’re not a vibrational match for that which you desire it’s going to feel like a push.
You’re going to be sucked into hustle.
Opportunity is going to be fleeting.
You run the risk of shutting yourself down from possibilities because you simply can’t see them.
But when you’re geared towards fulfilment, meaning and purpose, you naturally find yourself being drawn to do more of what you love.
You can’t not.
You might need to shift focus.
So if you start focusing on just doing more of what you love to do;
AND
You start to bring into your conscious awareness how you want to BE in the world.
You start to cultivate more FULFILMENT.
When you’re being how you want to be;
AND
You are exhibiting the greatest strengths that you have – life has more meaning.
When you’re doing what’s important to you to do;
AND
It’s an expression of the greatest traits you have to gift to the world then you start to have a great sense of purpose.
When you have this sense of purpose and this sense of fulfilment and this sense of meaning you start to have a greater impact in life.
That impact in life is something that happens for you physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually AND vibrationally.
You then start to step into an actualization of your potential.
When this stuff is going on for you, you are going to become a magnet for wealth.
You’re going to become a magnet for good health.
You’re going to become a magnet for greater well-being and more opportunities that will assist you in the process of doing, being and having more of what you really want.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t set loads of material goals for this year.
I’m not saying you can’t have your vision board full of all the material goals. Whatever you can do to cultivate desire and focus is a good thing because together they drive results in life.
I’m not saying focus on purpose and fulfilment and meaning and not on having the physical things that you want.
What I’m saying is blend the two.
If you just focus on having the physical wealth and not fulfilment as a state, if you don’t achieve your goals you won’t be fulfilled.
If you focus on having the fulfilment and the meaning and purpose AND creating wealth, what you’ll find is you’re probably going to create wealth a lot easier.
THEN
If for some unforeseen reason your material goals don’t come to fruition you’ll still have fulfilment.
Remember if you can be fulfilled without having material wealth then you’re probably one of the wealthiest people on this planet.
You’re also primed to attract good things.
SO…
Go out there and kick some material arse.
Make some serious coin.
BUT
Make the state of fulfilment your number 1 goal.
Just try that one thing on and see where it takes you.
